Thomas “Tommy” Harume Kimura, 84, of Hawi died March 30, 2013, at The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born June 4, 1928, in Puukikoni, Waimea, he was a retired carpenter from Parker Ranch, Korean War Army veteran and member of American Legion Kohala Post 4.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. April 27 at Mana Christian Ohana Church, former Kahilu Town Hall, in Waimea for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Setsuko Kimura of Hawi; daughter, Karen (Ricky) Mahi of Hawi; son, Glen Kimura of Hawi; brother, Charles (Michie) Kimura of Waimea; hanai daughter, Leiola (Tony) Mitchell of Waimea; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
